A.K.A. The Balloon Lady, this is me! Iâve dabbled in various dĂ©cor ventures over the years from Floral Design to Event planning and DĂ©cor and then I found Balloons. I even tried cooking but that was a total no starter so in February of 2022 I decided to leave my career of many years as an accountant and venture into something that makes my heart sing. While I loved what I was doing, you donât see the smile and joy on peoples faces from behind a desk and all those numbers like you do when they are presented with a Balloon Sculpture. A Red Balloon has an entirely different impact than a Red Bottom Line.
With a LOT of practice and believe me, a LOT of broken balloons I was able to release the creative part of myself again and bring it into Pump U Up Balloon Artistry. While always inspiring to mix elegance and sophistication with fun and laughter, I canât wait to meet you and share your passion for your event
I met Darren on a telephone dating site many years ago. He made me laugh through an entire Hitman Hockey game while imitating Marvin the Martian. Knowing my love of clowns and laughter he dressed up to surprise me at my birthday party and made every occasion after that equally as unique. When you love to laugh as much as I do, how could I not fall in love with everything he was about. He has become my biggest supporter, my Raving Fan, and always shows up to give a helping hand when my one-man show has a little extra work to do.
Although Darren has so many attributes, his love for helping others and making them smile is the biggest part of his character. His input to some of the designs is subtle but impactful and always fun. We canât wait to share all of that with you.
Our Havashire puppy is attached to our heart and sole. At 1 year old she is very playful and fun and has a unique personality. We donât currently have products that require shipping but she is hanging around and ready to jump into action as we grow. While we donât really have HR issues either, at the end of a long day we just know there is a snuggle waiting at home.
Our two Granddaughters LOVE Balloons. They are 4 and 2 and much like all kids these days have so much fun tossing them around and maybe even using them for bonking sticks. (Thatâs a thing, right?) I love to watch the abuse they take and to inspect the design when they are done. This flower was amazing, after a full hour of playing âCatch the Flowerâ up and down the stairs then a nap using it as a pillow, it still looked just like this. I know they donât all stand up this well but pretty close. And then, two weeks later when they came back for further inspection, same flower.
